Sharing for May 30

Share from your week; where have you seen God at work?:

Martha – Ken and I were given a gift yesterday. We traveled up to the gorge and attended a wedding of one of Sarah’s best childhood and junior high friends. Sarah officiated the wedding and was also a bridesmaid so, it was very nice. But the nicest thing was that two of the women who were there, the mother of the bride and another woman who was a good friend of mine in Monmouth; the three of us were able to reconnect. We haven’t seen each other in probably about 10 years. It was so nice to sit there and visit and just party; not have to worry about Covid or anything! That was a nice gift.

Susan D. – Amy & Michael are away for the weekend, so we have the kids. On Friday night we took Connor out to Elmer’s for dinner, and when it came time to pay our bill we were told that somebody else had paid for our dinner! That’s never happened to us before. It was just wonderful. So we paid for somebody else’s dinner and passed it on! It was a wonderful feeling!

Pastor Brett – Wow, that’s awesome Susan. That’s so cool. Yeah, that’s never happened to me either. I will be praying that it happens to me, as well, very soon. Awesome, Amen. Praise God!

I’m thankful for one of my God Sightings – I got jabbed with my second (Covid) shot last Sunday after church. I was a little worried that I might have a fever or some chills, because I know everyone is affected a little differently. I only had a sore arm and no major side effects, and I was able to continue as a parent, as a spouse without being knocked out. So, I’m grateful for that. My fully cooked date is next Sunday so, I’m very excited for what that will mean socially for spending time with all of you.

Kari – The Coopers are here this morning with us in the Lighthouse!

Pastor Brett – Yes, Fred & Marianne and Ben, for the first time in the Lighthouse; Krista Tjossem is here for the first time. So, welcome, welcome!

Gavin – Our granddaughter from LaPine showed up out of nowhere yesterday! We got to hang out with her for a little bit.

Bonnie – I was able to go to the migrant camp and help serve a meal for the first time for the season last night.
