Big Thanks!

Thank you, Westsiders, for your generous hearts!

Local families and the Western Farm Workers Association received bags of food to brighten their holidays. And. as you can see on the far tables in the photo, there were dozens of gifts given for the children.

New Small Group

A 3-week study on fasting will begin in January, based on the book, “Awakening: A New Approach to Faith, Fasting and Spiritual Freedom” by Stovall Weems.

From the publisher’s description:

Would you describe your walk with God as fresh and exciting? Would you describe your spiritual life as vibrant and passionate? If not, would you like these attributes to be the norm in your everyday relationship with God?

Are you ready to experience an awakening?

Weems encourages you to surrender fully, to discover the right kind of fuel for the journey, and to learn a new way to pray and fast. This lifestyle is not based on rules or religion, but on a deep, satisfying, motivating relationship with God.

The books include a small group study guide, the 21-day plan with assigned reading from the book, and different ways/menus for fasting.

The group will meet Tuesdays, January 11, 18, and 25, at 7:00 pm. Location is TBD by the participants. Participants will be responsible for purchasing their own books.

Dominican Republic 2022

Since 2018, Westsiders have made an annual trip to the Dominican Republic. During their week there, they have constructed walls, built a playground, and, most importantly, built relationships with the residents.

Wendy F has confirmed the 2022 dates, Saturday, July 30 - Saturday, Aug 6, 2022, with World Servants. Contact Wendy if you are interested in going. See photos of previous mission trips at https://www.westsidejourney.com/outreach.

Words can’t do justice to how amazing this trip is. Simply put, it will change your life.

An Advent Journey

An encore presentation of Immersed: An Advent Journey is available on our website at https://www.westsidejourney.com/virtualadvent

Five short videos explore aspects of the familiar story - the annunciation, manger, tree of life, candlelighting, and the Advent wreath. Narrated by Westsiders, the videos contain beautiful images, stirring music, and scripture

Share the link with your friends. And let’s all prepare for the birth of Christ!

Advent Begins

Join us this Sunday, November 28, for the first week of Advent.

We will be discussing how God intensified the path of redemption through Abram and his descendants. If the many famililes can't be one (Babel), can the one family (Abram) carry the promise for the many?

See you at 10:00 am, in-person or online.
